IPL or “Photo Facial”

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, which is also known as a “photo facial”.  The term “photo facial” refers to the treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions on the face. Specialized light pulses target brown spots and blood vessels without harming the surrounding skin.

Typically requires 3-5 treatments, spaced 1 month apart.  Each treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, is mildly uncomfortable, and you can expect some redness and swelling that may last a day or two following the procedure.

What results can I expect?

You can expect to see a decrease in the appearance of brown spots, sun damage and blood vessels for a more even skin tone.

Fractional Non-Ablative

The Fractional Non-Ablative laser is also known as our 1540 laser.  This laser delivers heat beneath the skins surface to stimulate collagen production and provide “skin resurfacing”.  It can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, melasma, acne scars, surgical scars and stretch marks.
Typically requires 3-5 treatments, spaced 1 month apart.  Treatment time depends on the indication and treatment area.  You can expect some discomfort with the treatment, but we do use a topical anesthetic to help minimize pain when treating the entire face.  Redness and swelling is to be expected following the procedure, so plan for some down time.

What results can I expect?

You can expect to see a decrease in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smoother skin, and a more even skin tone, or an improvement in the appearance of acne scars or surgical scars.

The Best of Both Worlds:“3 For Me”

The “3 For Me” treatment combines the benefits of the IPL laser and Fractional Non-Ablative laser into one treatment.  By coupling these treatments together, we are able to address dark spots, blood vessels and fine lines and wrinkles, revealing smoother, evenly pigmented and more youthful appearing skin!

This typically requires 3-5 treatments spaced 1 month apart.  Each treatment takes approximately 1 hour, and we use a topical anesthetic to help minimize the discomfort.   Redness and swelling is to be expected following the procedure, and may last up to a couple days, so plan for some down time.

Hair Removal

Light- based energy is used to target and damage hair follicles responsible for unwanted hair growth, without causing damage to the surrounding skin.
Typically requires 4-6 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart (on average) in order to target hair that is in the active phase of growth.  Treatment time depends on the size of the treatment area.  You can expect some mild discomfort and may have some redness following the procedure.

What results can I expect?

You can expect to see a gradual decrease in hair thickness and the amount of hair in the treatment area.
